Directions to Maple Bear Campground

Over the river and through the woods .. to Maple Bear Campground. We are tucked away on 40 amazing wooded acres off of County Road H (a designated ATV/UTV road), just east of Tomahawk. If you are looking for directions, click the map above or grab DIRECTIONS HERE!

Maple Bear Campground is located in beautiful Lincoln County, with miles of ATV/UTV trails and on-road routes, you can spend hours roaming the Northwoods. Lincoln County trails are open seasonally and offer beautiful scenery and a few great spots to refuel. Check out WATVA for updated trail information.


Maple Bear Campground is a proud member of WACO, the Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners. WACO is a nonprofit association dedicated to the promotion, usage, growth and improvement of campgrounds in the State of Wisconsin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have internet available?

Starlink internet is available for purchase on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. We are working on expanding our network capabilities, however, at this time only limited sites and the Maple Bear Bar & Grill have wifi access. To learn more, visit our Rates Page.

I have (Verizon, AT&T, US Cellular, Sprint …) will I get cell service?

Verizon and T-Mobile have the best service, but please remember, we are in the middle of the Northwoods and reception can vary by device and location. If you will be on the trails, we suggest having a GPS device for safety.

I’m bringing kids, what activities do you have for them?

We are a family-friendly campground that believes outdoor play is good for the soul, whether your 2 or 102! We have a heated pool, a pond for skipping rocks and checking out snapping turtles, a playground (parent/guardian supervision is required), and plenty of space to run and play!

Do you have seasonal sites?

I need to cancel, what is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations within 7-days of your stay will not receive a refund. Cancellations within 7-14 days before your stay, will receive a 50% refund. For our full policy, please visit our Cancellation & Refund Policy Page.

Check in and Check out Information:

Check in is at 3:00 pm – Check out is at 11:00 am

You may check in as early as 2:00 pm, call if you arrive that early! Early check in is available from 12:00pm – 2:00 pm, and must be purchased prior to arriving (Fee: $25.00). If you choose to arrive prior to 12:00pm, you will be charged for an additional evening.
